Reviews: Burning Secrets (3)
“by Dylan, age 12”
(Paperback)
The book was better than I thought, by the time I was on page 10 I was hooked. I really enjoyed this book because the characters were very easy to connect with. At the beginning you will have your own thoughts of how the book will end but as the clues fall into place nothing comes close to the actual conclusion. I really enjoyed this book and wouldn't mind reading it again.
“By George, age 11”
(Paperback)
The main characters in this book are Daniel and Louie Milman.
The book is about a small school which is being tricked into a drug test for an anti-depression drug.
My favourite bit is when Daniel and Louie are searching for Coca Cola rather than the island favourite, bitter lemon squash.
“Mystery”
(Paperback)
I picked this book up thinking it was going to be a fantasy book, however I was surprised when instead I learnt that it is a well-thought out mystery novel. This story was a genre of its own and contained many twists and unusual discoveries. The ending finished on a poignant note but Chambers can definitely be described as a clever and creative author. I recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery novels.
