“Will Trent joins Sara Linton in her home town and a trip down memory lane”
(Paperback)
by Brian Wilde
Dr Sara Linton of Karin Slaughters Grant County series returns in her 2nd Will Trent novel. Sara is returning home to Grant County to spend Thanks Giving with her mum, dad and sister Tessa. A body is found in the lake and Sara is soon involved, helping the investigation. We return to Lena Adams and interim police chief Frank Wallace in a loving throwback to the memory of Saras husband, Jeffrey Tolliver. Four years after Jeffreys tragic death, we return to see how life has moved on for his police department. How Sara is coping with interacting with the his old police colleagues. It was great to see Lena back, she's such a complicated and deep character. I love and hate her at the same time. She has a pivotal role in this story, having a prisoner commit suicide whilst in her care. Working with Frank Wallace whilst Will Trent and Sara look into the death of Allison. I adored this book. Though I do believe to truly appreciate it you need to have read the Grant County series. There are so many ties to those books, so much that I loved catching up with some old 'friends'. Well done Karin Slaughter, you continue to be the greatest crime writer and puller of heart strings

Great book keeps you guessing till the end and just another one of her books that you can not put down once you have started reading it. Can't wait for the next on to be in paper back.
