This is the first in Carson's Scottish crime series with DCI Liam Brody. Years ago Brody was seriously injured capturing a serial killer and now the killer wants to meet with Brody to reveal where the other bodies are. Also alongside is the case of a young boy's body found during a house renovation and the disappearance of one of the DCI's. I must confess I found it hard to get into this story and the characters, lots to remember. There is plenty of Scottish banter and this is a twisty gritty novel. Good storylines and police procedurals.
