Reviews: Bringing Down Goliath (11)
“BRINGING DOWN GOLIATH”
(Hardback)
by Susan Millar
Apologies. I should have clarified that, fortunately my daughter survived, but many NHS staff did not. The attacks on Good Law Project only prove what effective campaigners they are. Buy the book and judge for yourself.
“Thoughtful & educative writing. A worthy book”
(Hardback)
by Linda Williams
This is a moving, thoughtful book, engaging & reflective. I welcomed clear explanations with examples. "To understand what the law can do to hold government to account you have to understand something about them as well as about the law." The writing makes your heart rise within. It is lyrical, substantive & educative. It is always worth reading good writing.
“Bringing Down Goliath”

by Tod O’Brien
This incisive and analytical description of the cultural hegemony that exists in Britain, to ensure the undeserving privileged elite, maintain and ensure their power is never challenged and they are never held accountable is a must read for all citizens of our country. To understand is to challenge and to challenge is to have a voice. Jolyon Maugham and Good Law Project does this selflessly on behalf of all our unheard voices.
“Thought Changing”
(Hardback)
by Andrew Faulkner
Was really looking forward to this book and am not disappointed, the contents are quite an eye opener and some of the subjects covered, which I admit to have some negative bias, has changed my attitude and now have a better understanding of the battles that go on if you happen to be different. I noticed some negative review, I can say the complete opposite and I wish the good law project every success.
“Who champions truth?”
(Hardback)
by Julie Jump
Disclaimer: I am a lefty, tofu eating, Guardian reading, wokerati who reads/listens to James O’Brien, Owen Jones and donates monthly to The Good Law Project. I purchased this book to gain insight into Jolyon Maugham and the climate around setting up The Good Law Project and I was not disappointed. Some of the current Conservative Government beggars belief and obviously operates in the belief that they can do whatever they want. Jolyon Maugham is a very good “Good Guy” and takes the battle for the under-represented, the “Little Guy”, the brigade of “well that can’t be right” to those in power. Fascinating read and thank goodness he exists.
