“This book book made me laugh, weep and feel deeply comforted. It will be passed from woman to woman”
(Hardback)
I have finished your book- it has made me laugh, weep and feel deeply comforted. Massive congratulations on writing such a powerful book, making yourself vulnerable and creating a book that I am sure will be passed from woman to woman.
It's a heart-lifting and heart-breaking celebration of women - their strength, their vulnerabilities, their bodies, their courage. A real life exploration of how connection with the water will give us comfort, hope and the inspiration to give birth to a new wild life when someone or something has died and nothing makes sense any more."
“Emma’s writing is wonderful”
(Hardback)
Emma’s book isn’t out until next year, but I have already read some excerpts on her Substack which led me to preordering the book. Emma writes with vulnerability, and a joy that only those who have seen grief can really speak of. She so openly discusses what it means to be human. Heartfelt, honest and an inspiration to us all when we hit dark times. I am so excited for this to arrive in a March but already know from what she shares how amazing it will be(if you haven’t read her Substack you really should!) I’ll of course update this review once read in full, but I’m sure it will be just as glowing.
“Gorgeous writing”
(Hardback)
A must read for anyone who likes open water swimming, but everyone should read it!
“A tonic for the soul”
(Hardback)
A book of grief, hope, loss, friendship with water as a theme running throughout. I couldn’t put this down and read on into the night through my tears and laughter.
“You won’t want this book to end”
(Hardback)
I have had the privilege of reading Emma’s book even though it’s not out yet.
It is such a beautifully written book which will make you cry and laugh in equal measures. Emma has such a natural talent for drawing the reader in and letting us feel what she feels, exploring her vulnerabilities, her amazing strength and determination, her grief, her passion and joy for everything life throws at her.
I love Emma’s style of writing and I really didn’t want the book to end.
This book is a true celebration of women, their courage in adversity and the inspiration to be found in open water.
Can’t wait for my hard copy to arrive!
