I’ve followed Lala’s Page for just over a year now and listened to the podcast, so I was eagerly anticipating her book. It did not disappoint. Lala has a way with words that are funny and succinct. As much as this book is geared towards cis het women, I do believe all genders would benefit from reading it. I wish a book like this had been available in my younger years. Absolutely fantastic, highly recommended. Buy a copy for yourself and your best friend.

This is a must read for all women and girls, whether they’re dating or not. Lala handles serious topics with her humorous tone while not detracting from gravity where necessary.

I am at a point in my life when I have begun dating again in my late 30s, after two back to back long term disastrous relationships. Lala's book has found me when I most need it and I had so many moments of realisation while reading it and 'oh wow, that's exactly it!' exclamations. It has changed my approach to dating completely and made me understand myself and the choices I make. I really think that it will help me change my life for the better. Everyone should read this. Regardless of gender or sexual orientation, the understanding of what the world is like for cis het women and how cis het men need to change is important for all to have. The advice can be applied to all types of relationships and the red flags to look for are relevant to all. This book will be referred back to time and again as I move forward on my path of self love and possible daring in the future. I feel like Lala has armed me with the tools for a happier future. Wonderful, honest, to the point book. At one point I was ready to give up on all (cis-het) men, But by the end I have hope and will continue to do me. Looking for green flags instead of the red is great advice. Thank you for all your words and insta support. Will buy for single/dating friends for sure. X
