We've all heard of Blackbeard, right? But how much do we actually know about him? This book aims to give us the clearest picture possible, and does a great job of solidifying Blackbeard, pirating in general, and the era. I did find it heavy going at times, but that's only to be expected when so much research has gone into a book. Fascinating stuff. My thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley.
