Reviews: Bird Box (43)
“Exciting and intense”
(Paperback)
I raced through this book, it pulls you in and you don't want to put it down until you now the outcome.
I wanted it to carry on after finishing it, its an original story that is pretty emotional.
Highly recommend!
“Awesome horror ”
(Paperback)
Wow! I am a massive James Herbert fan and since his sad death I have been looking out for great horror books. This certainly fits the bill. So well written and the fact you don't know what people see is even more scary as your imagination runs wild. So clever . I couldn't put this book down and I so hope there is more to come from this author. Well done Josh!
“It's utterly terrifying, don't open your eyes!!”
(Hardback)
This is a fantastic post-apocalyptic read, that sent chills right through me. It really makes you think, " What if?", and then stop straight away as it's far too much of a horrible prospect. It is a must read for lovers of this genre.
“Fantastic!”
(Hardback)
One of the most original and gripping stories I've read recently, I couldn't put it down. In a world where no-one can open their eyes due to the mysterious 'creatures', a mother tries to protect her children and lead them to safety. Dark and frightening, this is an inventive study of fear. Although it's horrifying, it's not a straightforward horror story and I would definitely recommend this to people who do not usually read horror as it's such an interesting story.
“slow burning suspense!”
(Hardback)
i read a preview of the first chapter, and had to get the whole book,
the story is about Malorie and her experiences leading up to, and during a global epidemic that seems to affect everyone, and the only way of preventing being affected is to close your eyes, something that is not easy to do when you are caring for two young children,
the story jumps back and forth throughout Malories ordeal, seamlessly linking events in each time period, giving just enough information to keep you hooked.
my only negative is that by the end i wanted more!
highly recommended.
