This is my first book written by Roberta Kray but it won't be my last. I was drawn in from the beginning. I loved the gritty style of this fast paced book. I loved the twists in the book and the realisation when Chrissie realised her mum was murdered was heartbreaking. I really enjoyed this rollercoaster ride of emotions.

This is my first read by this author. I enjoyed this book, although it didn’t really wow or thrill me. I thought it was a well written, good easy read with a good plot line that certainly had plenty of twists in it. I felt I expected more from it though and it lacked the suspense I was hoping for. The main character was believable and likeable with a good background story. The story was quite fast paced, set over 20 years and rushed to an ending (which I guessed) with most loose ends tied up nicely except one. A couple of times the book felt a little overly long and I found myself skimming some of the pages. Overall a good read, just not a great one for me and this wouldn’t stop me wanting to read the authors other books.
