This series of essays ranging from the edgy nightclub scene and disastrous building schemes to the refusal of migrant groups to integrate gives the reader a deep and fond look at Berlin as it is today...warts and all. A Brave New Berlin is emerging from the divided past but the birth pangs have been painful and are still being felt. Better than any guide book I have read.
