Reviews: Becoming (51)
“Easy to read!”
(Hardback)
This book, which was bought as a present, is well presented in an easy to read print. It was well received. The only negative I would say is that the book, being a hardback is quite big if you want to carry it around.
“Deeply inspirational”
(Hardback)
Deeply inspirational and warm. Memories from a former first lady. Great read.
“Becoming ”
(Hardback)
I love to reading a book for Michelle, she was a good person.
“Even better in your ear!”
(Paperback)
It may seem strange to say it here, but although this book is fabulous, it is even better in audio. It's also extraordinary to think that both Obamas would turn out to be such compelling storytellers. Michelle's story is as inspiring and driven as you would expect, and is full of positivity about the future for women in male-dominated institutions. I particularly enjoyed the chapter on the pressures on living in the glass bubble of the White House.
“Brilliance from a brilliant soul”
(Hardback)
This excellent memoir sheds light on the life of a brilliant woman, Michelle Obama, who worked her way from meager beginnings to the White House. Very well written, in conversational tone, it feels like Mrs. Obama is speaking directly to the reader. It's a mixture of funny, sad, thought-provoking, insightful, and very interesting.
