Reviews: Bad Boy (6)
“Another Great Inspector Banks Novel”
(Paperback)
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. Keep them coming. I love the setting in the Dales.
“Another winner”
(Paperback)
Have read all Inspector Banks novels-in fact I thought
they had finished some time ago.Well written, interesting
and totally believable.Bad Boy has not disappointed &
I hope Peter has more in the pipeline.
“Good - but not great”
(Paperback)
Typically well written and compelling but I get the nagging feeling that I have seen this plot line somewhere else - copper's daughter goes off unwittingly with criminal etc. Has it been televised already? Just seemed familiar - but still a stonking good read.
“Another good read”
(Paperback)
Once I got into this book I loved it, as I do all Peter Robinson's other books. The only problem I had with the book was that D.C.I. Alan Banks didn't make an appearance for quite a while. Once he became involved in the story it flew along.
“Is it time for Banks to retire?”
(Paperback)
I have read all the Peter Robinson books and looked forward to the latest read. Whilst I enjoyed the book, to me the story line regarding the old neighbour was weak which, in turn, left the remainder of the plot a bit thin, despite the attempt to toughen it up from time to time. The ending for me was also disappointing and a bit of a let down. It saddens me to say this, but I think that it is time for DCI Banks to be pensioned off.
