Each chapter is about a different language. e.g. Chapter 1 is about Vietnamese. Its basis, its source of loan words, why it is so difficult to learn etc. The book provides interesting insights into languages. It is well written by someone who is a polyglot. It is not a quick read but the chapters do stand alone.
