“Beautiful game & great concept; just a bit tedious to start”
(Game)
Azul is a beautiful game with gorgeous bright tile pieces, however we did find it quite tedious to begin with! The game has multiple stages to play and is a case of learning the strategies needed to earn the most points and win! It took us a little while to get our head around the rules of play, and once we got the hang of it (with thanks to YouTube videos) we managed to give it a good shot!
“Very complicated”
(Game)
I hate leaving bad reviews but I don’t think this game is suitable for 8 year olds, because the game is quite complicated my daughter got bored and frustrated quite quickly and gave up before we had even started, my 12 year old daughter felt the same but gave it a good go but did say it wasn’t fun because of it being so complicated which is a shame considering the price, I would say this game is great for adults and older children but not for the age range it suggests. My adult opinion was that it could be an awesome family game if it was made more simple.
“I just can't seem to understand.”

Ok so I have tried and tried again and again to play this game but I just don't understand how it works.
My children love this game but sadly im Still on the back bench trying to learn how to play.
I love the pretty tiles and colours and I love the boards which each game player has to have when playing.
I get the align tiles on our pattern lines but as far as that I'm in limbo.
I really have a hard time grasping this game sadly.
It's a game for ages 8 plus but I think it should be depending on the person themselves .
You can play 2/4 players.
And it says it usually takes between 30/45 minutes to play a game.
I would have absolutely loved to learn about this game I have been watching YouTube videos to try and help me but still no luck sadly.
“Azul Board Game”

I love the design of the board game and think it's very eye catching!
I saw this game is aimed at age 8+ but after a couple of us adults taking a look into how to play the game, we found it a bit complicated.
I think you need to have time and patience to understand how it works and give it a few tries.
“Difficult to understand”

Azul is quite complicated to understand how to work out the scoring, the game would be much more enjoyable if the scoring was easier
