This is such a beautiful game. I must say it was a bit tricky at first I had to read the instructions a couple of times but I soon got the hang of it and it becomes addictive. All in all this is a great family game and would be a great addition to anyone's games nights

If you are a fan of abstract games or puzzles this game is definitely worth playing! The game isn’t too long to play and you can play a game fairly quickly with just 2 players. We found that it was easier to read the instructions as we played - it can seem a little confusing when you read the instructions the first time but if you read them as you set up and play it seemed a lot easier.

Azul is a unique and fun, light strategic game suitable for both a family games afternoon or an adult games night. Whilst the rules are fairly simple to pick up, the depth comes from choosing the correct tile type to both score points on your board, whilst blocking your opponents from scoring. The game has fantastic components for the tiles and score boards, with a really nice tile bag. Overall, a very high quality, enjoyable game.

I’d never heard of Azul before receiving the game. Initially the instructions sounded confusing but after a few trial runs, we got the hang of it. The scoring seems tricky but as long as you score as you place the tiles on patterns then it’s fun, don’t wait as you’ll get muddled (well we did). The more you play, the more tactics you’ll employ, ruthless play means more points and minus points for your competitors!
