“Visually engaging game”
(Game)
This is a visually engaging game that is easy to follow and quick to get the hang of. I really liked the pattern matching aspect of the game and think that it's a great game for those who are neurodiverse. I'd really recommend this for all abilities and ages and there is another side of the game so you can make it more difficult.
“A beautiful game full of layers”
(Game)
The concept of Azul is deceptively easy - lots of beautifully coloured and decorated tiles and you are the royal tile layer. You must choose your tiles to fill your spaces, when you have a full line of the same coloured/patterned tiles you move one tile onto the board and discard the rest. Each tile scores you one point, but more are added if you place your tile adjacent to another one. At the end of the game you score bonus points for having a fully laid line of tiles either horizontally or vertically, you also receive a bonus ten points if you have the same coloured or decorated tile on every line.
This forms the basis of the game and as a family we spent an enjoyable afternoon playing and learning as we went along, but then my eldest child realised that if she started to look at what other players had or needed to fill their lines, she could begin to sabatage them, by planning ahead she managed to use the tiles other players needed, boosting her pot but also stopping them from boosting theirs, the game got loud at times when someone took the tiles you were hoping to get and everyone started to play more logically , overall this was a really fun game and one that we all enjoyed. great for all ages and love the fact that you can play with just two players as well as four. This has definately become a family go to game for an enjoyable afternoon.
“Lovely abstract game”
(Game)
A really lovely abstract game, for anyone who loves these types of game I would definitely recommend it.
We really enjoyed playing the game, it took us a little while to get the hang of it but after a few games, there was no stopping us.
Suitable for children above the age of 8 and a great game for them to enjoy.
We look forward to playing it again.
“Great game”
(Game)
A great strategy game, which the kids found easier than the grown ups! The board and tiles are so beautiful and is very aesthetically pleasing. Its a bit confusing to start with, but it does get easier. Id recommend trying the mobile game if you cant get the hang of it. We play it regularly and highly recommend this!
“Great fun”

I had never heard of the game Azul before but it was the game for our monthly family game night. This is a lovely looking game. And even though I didn’t win, I highly recommend this game. We had a great night playing it.
