This book nails everything, the world building, the characters, the humor, but it excels in how it portrays depression and mental health issues. There need to be more Dr Matthew Vine IIIs in the world.

Dade is quickly becoming one of my all time favourite romance writers. Her books are always bursting with wit and wonderful characters (this one in particular has a chicken named Roberta Downey Jr… what more can I say). This one has beautifully written depression representation that made me tear up. As with her others, this felt cinematic in a way that I would LOVE to see adapted into a film, we deserve to see stories like this played out on screen.

I boarded this boat, happily awaiting adventure. A beautiful, fun and wonderful adventure. Even though this wrecked me inside and out, I adored every minute. The characters are so thoughtful and balanced and rounded beyond belief. I rooted and cheered for them, felt their lows as if they were my own. I’ve been an Olivia Dade fan since the beginning and was so happy to get the arc for this. I thought I was prepared. I was absolutely not. This is my favourite of all her writing. Heck, it’s my favourite of pretty much all writing ever. Thank you for this book. This soul searching beauty of a book.

No one writes relationships like Olivia Dade. An tale of two stubborn individuals who learn to be stronger together. It's absolutely hilarious, utterly heartwrenching, and so beautiful I read it with tears in my eyes for the whole second half. This book broke me, and then built me back up. It's such an honest and wonderful depiction of love, and all it takes to love yourself as well as someone else. (Do bring tissues.)
