Reviews: ASP.NET Core and Angular 2 (1)
“Great resource to understand the new stuff”
(Paperback)
The book does a good job explaining what they did change in ASP.NET and Angular new installments either above and under the hood, allowing the developer to cope with the differences using a lot code samples that will allow the reader to build a simple SPA featuring a Data Provider (using Entity Framework Core code-first), HTML layout (styled using Bootstrap and LESS) and an internal authentication mechanism which also supports the most common OAuth2 providers such as Google, Facebook and Twitter. A lot of space is also dedicated to the new Angular 2 framework, which is also a full rewrite of the former AngularJS featuring a true modular approach and a ton of useful features.
It turned out to be a very interesting reading overall, not only to learn the new ASP.NET Core and Angular 2 framework yet also to understand the actual scenario, i.e. how web development changed within the last few years.
