Andy Weir produces another booked packed full of science, humour and adventure. Sure you can criticise parts of the book (even his signature!) but at the end of the day, did you enjoy it? I did, Jazz is a fun character who quips her way through one situation to another. I look forward to his next book.

Another fully enjoyable book by Andy Weir. Quite different from "the Martian", much more fast paced and action packed, as showing criminal organizations interactions with the everyday life of the city on the Moon. More standard sci-fi than the Martian, but so full of action and intrigue that I found it hard to put it down. The scientific construction of the Moon city and life over there looks totally convincing, and the characters are well defined. In conclusion, this book was for me a confirmation that A. Weir is a great sci-fi author - I cannot wait to read his next book.

It wasn’t awful, but it was very disappointing after The Martian. It felt like it was written by a teenager. It was a bad version of Terry Pratchett on the Moon. The heroine was just to perfect, the ending was ludicrous one minute she was a minor smuggler the next... i’ll stop there for fear of spoilers, just so disappointing.

Note: This is a review of the PRODUCT I have purchased, not the contents within. I rarely buy real books these days as there is just not enough space for all the books I have already read and owned let alone the one's I now own on my various kindles. So when this came out I thought it would be nice to see how the author handles a new story line, as the Martian was indeed a great if sometimes challenging read, and to own a signed copy would be nice. So having ordered the signed copy, it arrives for me only to open up the title page and see that someone has scribbled inside the book. Now had the children still been around and younger then I would have instantly berated them for their vandalism, and lack of respect to a printed book. Sadly it dawned on me that the author himself had done it. Oh woe. Clearly the man can type a good book but it's probably just as well for the proof readers and editors that he doesn't write it long hand. Ultimately I can read the book online and do without the signature, but it would have been nice to own a copy of what I expect will become a library of SF classics in the years to come. But even if I keep this book no-one will believe me that its a signed copy and think a child scribbled inside. The signature bears no resemblance to any written language I am aware of, and certainly no-one would be able to tell if this is the author's own signature or just a random doodle. Such a shame. My point being - why pay £16 for the privilege of owning a defaced book? If you are going to offer a signed copy then sign it clearly. Don't scribble. Not my problem you decided to sign 2000 books - guess I shouldn't be surprised then. I hope the story is better written, but I shall have to await a more competitively priced kindle version sometime in the future.
