An enjoyable and entertaining read. Take it on holiday with you. The second half of the book describing the massacre of some 20,000 Romans is based on sound historical sources and is both gripping and blood thirsty....not for the faint- hearted. The first half of of the book lacked the drama and excitement of the later events.
