What happens when Aquasaurus escapes from the cave system and runs loose among disaster survivors? What will happen if the dangerous crocodile escapes into the Gulf of Mexico? Fear can cause people to react in unpredictable ways. Fear can distort judgment, and cause likeable people to commit irrational acts. Fear can masquerade as bravado. Fear can paralyze. Fear can provide a cover for the truth. The problem with fear, is we think fear is the problem. Everyone has a fear of something. What are you afraid of?" This is a strange one. The book is more concerned with an ecological disaster than the creature and spends most of it's time on that. The creature is relegated to a bit part for most of the book. Characters are decent though and the book is reasonably well written. But... the book just ends. You get to the end and realise that it all ends on a cliffhanger. So you have to buy book two to find out what happens. As a creature feature this is weak but it's okay.
