Anna O by Matthew Blake is a thriller with a unique storyline. Dr Benedict Prince works at the Abbey an exclusive sleep clinic. He is tasked with trying to wake up Anna who has been asleep for the last 4 years after being found covered in blood next to her 2 best friends bodies. This is a really interesting and compelling look at sleepwalking and what could potentially happen when you are asleep. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will definitely be recommending it to people I know. Thank you to #Netgalley and #Harper Collins for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Wow wow wow… Had this on my shelf for a while and glad I’ve read it before it’s out so I can tell so many people about it! Read in almost 2 sittings (probably could’ve read in one if didn’t have other plans) I loved the short snappy chapters from different povs and of course the twist was great! (I did think at one point about 3/4 way through I wonder if it’s this?!) I also loved the true crime vibe of the book, sometimes I did think it could’ve been real and wanted to actually read up about other crimes mentioned in the story! A real gem of a guessing game and ultimately a well written thriller. I definitely think this will be a Waterstones Book of the Month when it’s out in paperback and wouldn’t be surprised to see it on many top books of 2024! This is the best thriller I have read in a long time. Anna O, the sleeping beauty and the culprit for all the murders that happened, has been asleep for 4 years. Ben Prince is the psychologist who is supposed to wake her up. Will his theories succeed? But, who is the real Patient X? At some point, I might have guessed but dismissed the thought. Blake literally made me question to the end. It is very well written, but on occasion a bit slow. However, I highly recommend it. Thanks to @Netgalley and the publishers for the ARC.

Thank you to the publishers for this early review copy. This publishes Feb 2024 and I cannot wait to discuss it with everyone. The tension is absolutely superb, I may need a lie down now... I have read this over a few days as I found it so tense, I was only sipping it, then pacing... Loved the plotting, loved the tangled mess of characters. Simply brilliant! So really I'd suggest the cool kids amongst you get this beauty pre ordered ASAP! Everyone is going to be raving about this one! Congratulations Matthew, this deserves to be a massive success! (Surely got to feature in my best reads of 2023...)

A fantastic written psychological thriller. I would easily say one of my favourite reads to date. A gripping story of twist and turns that keeps you reading. Recommended to friends and family as the story had me hooked.
