Thank you so much to Bonnier Books for sending me a reading copy of this incredible book. I have never read a writing book full of advice and experience from such a range of fantastic authors. And they don’t hold back. Writing is hard but worth it, don’t give up, and if your aim is to be rich maybe look for a different career. Being a writer is unpredictable but if it’s in your heart go for it. I loved every single word. This is the real world of writing and I loved reading the failures and successes of the authors. They talk about everything you could possibly want to know. I’ve signed up to the podcast and am now fired up to face that blank page. This is the book to have on your shelf if you want to be a writer.

This was such a fun and entertaining read! I was lucky enough to get a proof copy before this masterpiece was actually released and I have to say I'm really impressed with how many amazing authors they managed to get to come together for this. The results do not dissapoint. Its a very inspiring read that I would recommend to any aspiring writer!

This book is a real treasure trove of useful insights and advice for any aspiring writer. Very highly recommended! It has also steered me towards the authors' podcast series of the same name which contains a rich resource of interviews with some top writers and players from the publishing world. A great discovery!

I adore and treasure this book, it's good for curling up and reading. I have never thought myself a would be writer, but I am driven to sometime scribble notes for a non fiction book which is slowly brewing in my brain. What my scribbling has taught me is that writing is tricky path not dissimilar to Indianna Jones battling his way through a bobby trapped mountain tunnel to get to the pot of gold. And that is what this book has nuggets of wisdom, experience and nuggets of gold that enlighten a would be authors journey or commiserate for ones who already do so. This books works as a great warm read even if you have no intention of writing a book, it's lovely to see into the minds of so many esteemed authors and their journey, I really appreciate them sharing it, well done to Simon and Rachel for bringing the book together. Suitable for anyone who loves books.
