Revelation after revelation!! Hindle has done such a fantastic job bringing mystery, flair and excitement to this 1920s high seas crime novel. The comeback of golden age crime has a new standard! Twists and turns in every direction while still keeping the flow believable, I couldn't wait to read more. Truly an author to watch!

Really good story, kept me turning the pages anx I still reading at 2am some days as it got better as the book went along. Highly recommend this book if you haven't read it.

I bought this part of a Christmas present

Wow! Agatha Christie fans will adore this sensational mystery, but there is a darker edge to the secret-laden plot that makes this thriller excel. The characters are intriguing and the reader is propelled at lighting speed all the way to astonishing finale. Put this book into the hands of everyone you know!!

I haven’t enjoyed a book this much for a while, and would end up loosing hours, unable to put down. To begin I felt like the story was beginning to feel bloated but Tom quickly sets the multiple story lines straight, making them neatly entangle with one another, which made it flow. Multiple times the main characters thoughts and theory’s matched my own where Tom anticipated your own deductions, making you feel like you were part of the investigation. Unlike many of the reviews here, I loved the pacing of the book, there was always something happening and everything had a purpose. The ending had me wide eyed and I felt lost when the book ended! Highly recommend if you love this genre.
