I received this game for free and this is my honest review. This game was a little daunting a first. But after watching a few online tutorials and playing our first game we started to get the hang of it. The game is a strategy based game suitable for 3-7 players. It's great that up to seven players can play at once. Everyone can get involved and play in one game rather than playing in rounds which we often have to do with other games. The game can get a bit complex so I'd say it's good for teens and upwards. We've played the game a few times now and it's been a lot of fun. The play time is about 45 minutes, long enough to get immersed into a game but not overly long that it gets boring.

I received this product for free, but this is an honest review. We love board games and so do our inlaws so we were excited to play 7 wonders. It is a high quality game and with colour blind friendly cards and boards. The illustrations are stunning and all the pieces are made from strong, high quality card. We read the instructions and watched online tutorials to learn how to play the game. It was quite hard to understand but we took it step by step and had fun working out what to do. The game is split into 3 ages. At the end of each age is a war. You collect military conflict tokens when you win a war and collect coins too throughout the game when returning a card. Your aim is to score the most points through what you have presented on the table and your coins and military points. A great game for adults that I am sure we will play many times as the outcomes will always differ and it is enjoyable. I gave it 4 stars as it took so long to learn the rules.

We are big board game fans in our house, our favourite being Catan. But we were ready for a new game and 7 wonders it was. First impressions were good, it’s a very well presented game, beautiful box and lovely set up First couple of games I played with my husband and our 13 year old daughter, who is extremely competitive! After reading the instructions I decided to watch the YouTube tutorial instead, which I highly recommend. I also got my husband to read the instructions so I doubly knew what we were doing! It’s a great strategy game, took a couple of goes to get the hang of things, but we were soon obsessed and played it several times over the weekend. You can play with between 3-7 players and it’s different every time and will not get boring. Highly recommended and great fun

A little daunting on first unboxing the game , but it soon became clearer once we had watched a YouTube video . Son as usual worked out a good strategy for winning ,however until the points are calculated the winner is not easily predicted . Good fun to play.

Disclaimer: I received this product for free, but this is a honest review 7 Wonders is a great choice if you regularly play with a group of 3-7 players and are looking to try something a bit more challenging than Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride or similar games. If you have a bigger group looking to play a strategy game, then 7 Wonders is a choice that plays really quickly compared to most strategy games when you have a lot of people around the table. This second edition looks fantastic, as well as being a really satisying game, where you can feel pleased with what you achieved, whether you win or lose.
