World Trade Issues: Regime, Structure and Policy

The decision-making involved in formulating trade policies is dependent upon political and economic considerations, as well as domestic and international concerns. This volume examines a variety of world trade issues from the perspective of the changing patterns and structures of international trade, the nature of trade relationships, and the resulting trade policies. Both descriptive and empirical approaches to the trade issues are used. The authors deal with trade in specific commodities, such as manufacturers, agricultural goods, and raw materials, and the problems facing the countries exporting or importing these products.
