Werner Aisslinger

In Stichting's collection of monographs, German designer Werner Aisslinger joins the select company of i.a. Maarten Van Severen, Richard Hutten, Axel Enthoven and Xavier Lust. A multi-talented designer, he is known internationally for his furniture designs for companies like Cappellini, Vitra, Magis and Zanotta. His pieces are characteristically simple and light, with rounded forms and cheerful colours. His passion for technological innovation has gained him several awards and a cast-iron reputation. Apart from furniture, he is also active in product design, brand architecture and many other areas. One of his most talked-about projects definitely is the Loft Cube: a personalised, minimalist mobile home for urban nomads, to be put on the rooftops of existing architecture.This book sheds light on the technical aspects of Aisslinger's work, peppered with testimonies and tributes of colleagues and friends.
