Wavelets

Wavelet analysis is a growing field of active research. It has found many applications ranging from all kinds of signal data analysis (geoprospection, speech recognition, singularity detection) and data compression (image, voice-signals) to pure mathematics. This textbook explains in elementary language the mathematical foundations of the theory, illustrated with many examples.
