Synopsis

In this memoir the author relates his experiences and those of his son as young men. While in the Himalayas the author met and befriended an orphan beggar boy called Lakshiman. Years later his son travelled the same route and, purely by coincidence, met and fell in love with Lakshiman's daughter.
