The Interpreter

In war torn Burma, the Japanese jungle warriors are in full retreat. British agents, weapons and silver rupees cascade from the skies to aid the Karen resistance groups. However, the brutal Japanese Kempatai strike back and double-dealings and split loyalties become the order of the day. With the war over and martial retribution taking the stage, peacetime journalist Captain 'Robbie' Roberts insists on defending an Anglo-Burman sergeant accused of waging war against the King. The trial becomes a contest that sensationally brings to light a sinister backdrop of intrigue at the highest possible level.
