Duncan Sloan doesn't keep a bottle in his desk drawer - he keeps a stash of pot in his moldy refrigerator. Sloan is definitely a twenty-first century shamus. Now he's been hired to find an as - yet unborn baby in the grimy pockets of his Orlando, Florida town. Sloan is savvy enough to look in the right places: he questions the proprietors of cheap motels and hies himself to the trailer park to talk to the young mother-to-be's relatives, only to find the murdered bodies of all three. But can the laid-back ex-con keep the bad guys who stole the baby from killing it before it's born?
