Strategic Command

"Strategic Command" tells the story of Australia's most important military officer since World War II. From 1963 to 1970, firstly as the Army chief, and then as Chairman Chief of Staff Committee, General Sir John Wilton was responsible for the conduct of Australia's Vietnam War. The problems he faced when dealing with politicians and senior bureaucrats in time of crisis remain as relevant as ever.
