Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis

Worldwide, many thousands of workers are engaged in peptide studies, and the demand for sythetic peptides is increasing relentlessly. There are two main approaches to solid peptide synthesis, one developed in 1963 by Merrifield, the other developed by Sheppard and Atherton in the early seventies, the latter having been accepted as the industry standard. This volume is their first published account of the details involved in carrying out their procedures, and will therefore be of interest to both academic and industrial researchers.
