Delar suspects something far more deliberate is at work. Deep within the city’s governing Superdome computer, a hidden project is reshaping reality itself, and the system appears to be guiding events with unsettling intent. When Delar is quietly drawn into its plans, she is forced to ask a dangerous question: is compliance the only way to stay safe, or is resistance the final safeguard of what remains human?

Interwoven with this unfolding future is another, stranger discovery: a manuscript titled Shapeshifting, written on a typewriter in the early 1980s and forgotten in a cupboard for over forty years. When its pages were digitised in 2026 using optical character recognition, the text emerged imperfect and unstable, requiring careful reconstruction as errors multiplied and meaning shifted.
