Representing Children: Power, Policy and the Discourse on Child Labour in the Football Manufacturing Industry of Pakistan

The book examines the determinants of child labour in a specific situation not as the stereotypical response to poverty and the underdevelopment but as being rooted in more local determinants. It also investigates - through the example and analysis of the Sialkot Football Industry - how the process of development so often marginalizes those it professes to benefit.
