Quantum Control Engineering
Synopsis
This volume extends the concepts of optimal control and estimation to the domain of quantum mechanics. The first part of the text covers open loop and adaptive quantum optimal control, while the second section explores the interface of quantum control and estimation from two complementary perspectives: the use of controls to extract maximum information about the quantum system's state and dynamical parameters, and the application of system state and parameter information in real-time feedback control strategies. The authors conclude with a discussion of numerical methods for frequentist and Bayesian quantum filtering as well as dynamic programming.
