Putting Text First: Text Based Starters for Year 7

This is real 'little and often' learning designed for interactive teaching and pupil participation. There are complete texts as well as extracts with a selection of fiction, non-fiction, literary, non-literary texts. It includes 'Self-starters' for those lessons where pupils arrive in dribs and drabs. The book is a flexible resource for experienced, specialist teachers and has detailed lesson notes for less experienced and non-specialist teachers. There are masters (ready to copy or make into OHTs) for 30 starters, teaching notes for each starter, general introduction and guide for classroom use.
