Pretexts for Writing

Pretexts for Writing contains seven chapters, each starting with an argument about a particular topic of writing. This text addresses some of the preconceptions, including how writers write and whether or not writing is worth our time, held by teachers and students. It encourages dialogue about the ideas often brought to writing, which is sometimes a task not fully understood.
