Plastic: Exploring the Science of Everyday Materials

A study of the properties and uses of plastic, for children between the ages of five and seven. It features colour photographs of children involved in activities to make them more accessible. The content supports schemes of work for science at Key Stage 1, and there are pages of notes for parents and teachers with information about scientific principles. The volume is part of a series in which children are encouraged to ask questions about what different materials are like, formulate ideas about how a material might behave, and test out these ideas for themselves.
