Stage 1+ First Sentences is a colour band at a higher level of Stage 1 to bridge between First Words and Stage 2. Full sentences introduce National Literacy Strategy words required to be learnt by Reception Year pupils in imaginative and attractive stories which include: a game of hide and seek; a football game; mysterious footprints in the garden; some daring tricks on a bike; a sad time for Floppy; and Kipper keeping a diary. The six stories are available in both "Little Book" and "Big Book" formats. The colour band is the same as Oxford Literacy Web Stage 1.
