Off on a Wander
Synopsis
Having rejected the 9 to 5 ideal, Evelyn's life starts to take unpredictable turns in Africa through greetings in Nairobi (aka Nai-Robbery), unhappy Hippo encounters down the Zambezi, a complete loss of self in the beautiful wine regions of South Africa, to mention but a few. A hop, skip and a jump to Asia, she receives an overwhelming amount of unwanted male attention, has more marriage proposals than she has noodle dinners, and finds herself entering that aged old tradition of arguing with Germans over sun loungers, strangely enough with her new friend, a German! Australasia brings a far more civilised pit-stop, but a bit too safe for our now exotic traveller, as she heads off to South America, trekking across the Andes. A fully developed expert in pigeon English, she finally succumbs to the sun damage and deteriorating deli belly which ultimately encourages Evelyn to make her way back home.
