Carlton, an off duty policeman from Jamaica witnesses his best friend gunned down in cold blood on his wedding day. Vowing revenge he sets off through the ganglands of London determined to find the murderers. Set in the backstreets of London and the crime ridden ghetto's of Jamaica, Off Duty shows through the life of Carlton and his comrades the devastating effects of gangland crime on the youth of Jamaica. Growing up in the ghetto, Carlton starts his life as part of a gang. Hijacking trucks, drugs and guns are just part of the coming-of-age experience. When he meets Rico, the policeman who arrests him, he is given two choices, to stay on the straight and narrow or be put away. When Rico is gunned down on his wedding day, Carlton swears to find the men who killed the man who changed his life...
