In Not Seeing Red, Stephen Karetzky examines American librarianship's attitude towards the Soviet Union from the Russian Revolution through the Cold War. While focusing on the years 1917 through 1960, the work includes an overview of the subsequent period ending with Gorbachev's rise to power.
