Who is God really?

In this issue of Mettle, our core topic is on the Nature and Character of God. We will be looking at who is this almighty and amazing God we have chosen to serve. We will be discovering that finding out more about him is what pleases Him. After all, He knows everything about us! We also be spending some time on our three hot topics.
To kick off, we will have some Fun! God wants us to be happy and live life to the full. Becoming a Christian does not mean we have to live dull, boring lives. But how can we have fun within boundaries and by honouring God? That's where making right Decisions comes in handy. All of us have to make decisions about all sorts of things, so it's good to make wise decisions that fall into line with God's plan for our lives. Finally, let's get to grips with Fear. Most of us have times when we are fearfully, but what causes it? We'll look at how fear can affect us, how to recognise it and the idea of holy fear (or respect) for God. Enjoy!
