McGraw-Hill Computing Essentials

This text comprises the computer concepts portion of the McGraw-Hill "Microcomputing Annual Edition". It is designed for introductory computer courses and aims to teach competency in computer-related knowledge and skills. Students should learn how to use microcomputers to increase their productivity, and should also become familiar with commercial software packages, especially word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Each chapter begins with a list of competencies to be gained, and ends with review questions, discussion questions and projects, and a visual summary. Also available is a teaching material set, containing an instructor's manual, transparency masters, and an instructor's data disk (3.5" IBM compatible) that contains student data files and test questions.
