Maximizing Teaching Success

In the seven years during which William B. Ribas was responsible for the hiring and induction (with mentoring) of teachers for the Brookline, MA, Public Schools, he made a comprehensive review of the professional literature on this topic. He combined that information from the literature with the results of his own surveys of principals, newly hired teachers, and mentor teachers to develop a successful district-wide hiring and induction program. The result of this work is Maximizing Teaching Success, the one book about hiring, induction, and mentoring written for teachers, principals, district induction coordinators, and human resources administrators. It is the only program that applies the most current professional literature on the topic with seven years of actual experience in inducting newly hired teachers.
