Mathematical Methods for Electron Tomography

One of the central issues in life sciences research is to understand human biological processes in the cell in time and space, preferably at a molecular level. This book offers a comprehensive overview of various mathematical methods for 3D image reconstruction and post-processing methods relevant for electron tomography. It discusses several topics in detail, which may appeal to a much larger audience. The authors emphasize development during the last decade that involves an increasing degree of mathematical sophistication. Code (or pseudo---code) will in selected cases be included.
