Michael Vincent, a New York mobster turned Hollywood producer, finds success in Tinseltown, but his past threatens to catch up with him.

Follows the fortunes of Vinnie, a fringe member of the New York mob, who is obsessed by movies. After taking a course in film production, Vinnie – who has now recreated himself as Michael Vincent – hustles up funding to produce a director's first film, and then stops at nothing to get it sold.
