Jacob's Room

Jacob Flanders first appears as a child playing by the seaside. The novel follows his progress to school, to Cambridge, to London, Paris, Italy, Greece and to his death in World War I. A portrait of a young man, this is also a tribute to the generation which was decimated in the Great War.
