Import Controls And Export-oriented Development: A Reassessment Of The South Korean Case

This book aims to consider the role of import controls in an export-oriented development strategy, and is based on a case study of South Korea. The study establishes that in Korea successful export orientation was not predicated on the liberal import policy recommended to less developed countries.
